As the world’s largest ethnic group without a country of their own, the Kurds have suffered violence, oppression, discrimination, and assimilation by central governments for decades. Despite endless loss and suffering, the Kurdish identity still holds them together.

“Kurdistan: Field Notes” is a photo documentary from my personal project since 2018 that took me to remote villages in mountainous terrain in the Land of the Kurds. The story explains various aspects of Kurdistan from turbulent history of conflicts to peaceful landscape and ancient culture, based on keywords in each photo (published in Thai).
